Talking sticks were used by most Native American Nations. When council meetings were held for various reasons, a decorated stick was passed around. The one holding the stick had full rights to express his or her opinion on a particular matter without being interrupted. When done speaking the stick was passed to the next person until all had their say.
It can be an interesting way to teach family members to listen to each other, by using it in family communication.
Some people also use it as a prayer or meditation stick. PRICES VARY
Buddha Board Mini is inspired by the Zen idea of living in the moment. You simply paint on the surface with water and your creation will come to life in bold design. Then, as the water slowly evaporates, your art will magically disappear leaving you with a clean slate and a clear mind - ready to create a whole new masterpiece. Buddha Board Mini also makes for a wonderful gift card as it comes with 12 occasion stickers to personalize the cover with, and a place on the inside to write a message. Buddha Board Mini is environmentally friendly as it only uses water - no ink, no paint, no chemicals - and will last for years with proper care. It is 100% recyclable.

Prayer Flags $9.00 ea.
Prayer flags are colourful panels of rectangular cloth using the primary colours: blue for sky/space; white for air/wind; red for fire; green for water; yellow for earth.
They promote peace, strength and wisdom and are believed to spread good will and compassion to all as they blow in the wind. Prayer flags traditionally feature a Lung-ta (powerful horse) bearing three flaming jewels, which symbolize the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha. This may be surrounded by mantras and prayers. Prayer flags may also have images such as Buddha or the Om Mani Padme Hum Mantra.
As the images fade the prayers are thought to become a permanent part of the universe and new flags are mounted alongside the old, which symbolizes a welcoming of life's changes. The best time to put up a new prayer flag is in the morning of a sunny, windy, auspicious day. Prayer flags seem to bring joy to the environment and uplift anyone who sees them.
Our prayer flags are 5 sets of 5 flags (25 total)
